Privacy Policy

Summary

HeicDrop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally on your Mac.

Data collection

HeicDrop collects no personal information, usage analytics, crash reports, or identifiers. The app contains no third-party SDKs and makes no network connections.

Files you convert

HeicDrop reads image and video files only from the folders you choose to watch, or files you explicitly drop onto it, open with it, or send via the Services menu. Converted files are written next to the originals. Files never leave your Mac.

Permissions

HeicDrop runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It asks for access to your Downloads folder (the default AirDrop destination) and to any additional folders you add. You can revoke access at any time in System Settings › Privacy & Security.

Settings

Your preferences (output format, quality, watched folders) are stored locally on your Mac in the app's sandbox container and are not synced or uploaded.

Children

HeicDrop is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
